Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and attentive Food Runner to join our dynamic hospitality team. The Food Runner plays a vital role in ensuring timely and accurate delivery of food orders from the kitchen to guests, contributing to an exceptional dining experience. Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver food orders from the kitchen to guest tables in a timely manner
- Assist servers with clearing and resetting tables to maintain cleanliness and readiness for new guests
- Ensure food presentation meets quality standards before delivery
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to coordinate order accuracy and timing
- Maintain cleanliness of service areas, including trays, carts, and work stations
- Handle food safely and adhere to proper food handling procedures
- Support the team during busy periods by assisting with basic food preparation or other tasks as needed
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including food safety standards and sanitation protocols
Skills
- Previous food service experience preferred, including restaurant or hospitality roles
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Knowledge of food handling safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to communicate clearly with team members and guests
- Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Basic understanding of meal preparation, serving techniques, and food presentation
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to stand for extended periods during shifts
- Experience in hotel or barista settings is advantageous but not required
