DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for an HCA to join our team at our 19-bed facility. Tasks include and are not limited to:
- Engages residents with activities of daily living such as eating, resting, bathing, washing, bowel and bladder care, dressing, and caring for teeth, hair, nails, and skin.
- Lifts and transfers residents using mechanical lifts as necessary.
- Assists residents with meals, nourishments, and feeds designated residents. Notes change in appetite and food preferences and reports these to nurse on call.
- Observes and reports changes in a client’s functional and cognitive behavior to the nurse on call.
- Escorts residents to exercises, crafts, and entertainment, provide assistance as required
- Maintains proper care and identification of clients' clothing and personal effects.
- Requests and collects needed supplies.
- Reports unsafe or faulty equipment to the designated to nurse on call.
- Monitors safety in the clients' living environment and staff working environment.
- Reports risks, hazards, near misses, unsafe situations, incidents, and accidents to Supervisor/ Manager/Designate.
- Performs other related duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Work Experience: Minimum 1-year fieldwork
- Education: RCA / HCA Certification or equivalent work experience or schooling (Is a preference and not required)
- Experience and comfortable with personal care
