The Centre for Autism Services Alberta (CFASA) is seeking a collaborative and motivated Supervisor, Inclusive Post-Secondary Education Services (IPSES) to lead the day-to-day operations of our Inclusive Post-Secondary Education Services program.
In this role, you'll provide leadership and support to a team of Learning Support Coordinators, build strong partnerships with post-secondary institutions, and help ensure students receive high-quality, person-centred, neurodiversity-affirming supports that promote academic success, social inclusion, and employment readiness.

About the Role
As the Supervisor, Inclusive Post-Secondary Education Services (IPSES), you will provide leadership for the daily operations of the program while supporting both students and staff in achieving positive outcomes.
You'll oversee student intake and service coordination, supervise and mentor Learning Support Coordinators, foster collaborative relationships with post-secondary institutions and community partners, and ensure services are delivered in accordance with CFASA's neurodiversity-affirming philosophy and person-centred approach.
This role is ideal for a leader who enjoys building relationships, supporting staff development, improving programs, and creating inclusive educational environments where students can thrive.
Position Details
- Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent
- Hours: 35 hours per week
- Schedule: This position offers a flexible work schedule to meet the needs of students, staff, and post-secondary partners. While most work will occur during regular business hours, occasional evening and weekend availability is required to accommodate student programming, campus events, meetings, or other operational needs.
What You'll Do
Lead Program Operations
- Oversee the day-to-day implementation of the Inclusive Post-Secondary Education Services program.
- Conduct student intake meetings and ensure eligibility, documentation, and service requirements are completed.
- Ensure student information and documentation are accurate and up to date.
- Monitor program quality, student outcomes, and service delivery.
- Ensure reporting requirements are completed and program standards are maintained.
Lead and Support Staff
- Provide direct supervision, coaching, mentorship, and support to Learning Support Coordinators.
- Lead onboarding and training of new employees.
- Complete performance evaluations and performance management activities.
- Foster a collaborative, positive, and supportive team culture.
- Chair regular team meetings and monitor effective communication across the team.
Build Strong Partnerships
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with Accessibility Services, academic departments, faculty, student organizations, career services, and other campus partners.
- Coordinate with post-secondary institutions to ensure programming aligns with campus expectations and requirements.
- Support staff in developing employment partnerships for students.
- Represent CFASA through community presentations, workshops, outreach activities, and partnership development.
Support Student Success
- Oversee implementation of person-centred active supports and neurodiversity-affirming practices.
- Ensure Individualized Education Support Plans (IESPs) accurately reflect student goals and progress.
- Support staff in promoting inclusive educational practices and Universal Design for Learning principles.
- Help ensure students receive coordinated supports that promote academic achievement, social inclusion, self-determination, and employment readiness.
Ensure Operational Excellence
- Monitor program budgets and approve staff mileage and reimbursements.
- Ensure Occupational Health and Safety requirements are followed across partner institutions.
- Respond to concerns or complaints from students, families, staff, and post-secondary partners.
- Identify program risks, monitor performance metrics, and communicate program updates to the Director.
- Stay informed on emerging best practices related to autism, disability inclusion, education, employment, and person-centred practice.
What You Bring
We're looking for a collaborative leader who is passionate about disability inclusion, staff development, and creating exceptional student experiences.
Required Qualifications
- Related post-secondary degree from a recognized institution, with preference given to Social Work, Disability Studies, Community Rehabilitation, or a related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant professional experience.
- Minimum of two (2) years of leadership or supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of person-centred practices, self-determination, and neurodiversity-affirming approaches.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other computer applications.
- Ability to build collaborative relationships with staff, students, families, post-secondary institutions, and community partners.
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check and Child Intervention Record Check.
- Current Standard First Aid with CPR Level C and AED certification.
