Job Description
The ideal candidate is task‑oriented, detail-focused, and capable of managing large volumes of documentation with consistency and accuracy. The successful applicant will be highly organized, able to work independently, and comfortable adapting to workloads with fluctuating pace and shifting priorities.
You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team that includes Study Directors, investigators, and veterinarians. The position requires a general scientific background, strong organizational and multitasking skills, and flexibility to adjust working hours as needed.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assisting with writing and formatting of scientific Study Plans, data collection forms, final study report, internal and external contributing reports, and compilation of raw data files.
- Assisting with study logistics and planning
- Oversee the handling and processing of study documents
- Ensure ordering and management of study specific non-laboratory consumables
- Oversee preparation of study specific equipment and materials.
- Perform other duties as required/assigned when training and experience allows (e.g., laboratory activities, QC tasks, or study procedures).
- Working closely with the Study Director/Investigator to oversee in-life activities, minimize protocol deviations and initiate protocol amendments.
- Assist with draft responses to quality audits
- Other tasks may be assigned, as needed.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Comfortable handling dogs and cats.
Education/Experience/Credentials:
- Bachelor of Science degree or Veterinary Technician Diploma
- Minimum of 1 year of experience related to the responsibilities outlined above
- Strong organization and time management skills with the ability to multi-task effectively.
- Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team-oriented environment.
- Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) knowledge or experience an asset
Working Conditions:
- Job Types: Full-time, permanent placement
- Full time, 5 days a week
- General working hours 8:00am – 4:00pm (Mon-Fri), weekend work and overtime/night shifts will be required on an as needed per study basis.
- Position requires some flexibility in shifts due to study requirements
- Ability to lift to lift up to 20 kg.
Compensation Package:
- $50,000 - $65,000 per year annual salary commensurate with experience
