Carpenter Apprentices & Laborers – Commercial Construction
Elan Construction Ltd. is currently seeking Carpenter Apprentices and Laborers for commercial construction projects in the Calgary area. We are looking for motivated individuals who take pride in their work and want to grow long-term with a reputable general contractor.
Responsibilities
- Work closely and communicate regularly with the Site Supervisor to ensure projects run smoothly
- Maintain a visible, engaged presence on site and demonstrate leadership in safety
- Keep worksites clean, organized, and safe
- Perform a variety of daily tasks as part of a General Contracting team
- Read and follow blueprints and building plans
- Install structures and fixtures
- Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and mobile equipment
- Work efficiently, responsibly, and professionally while maintaining positive relationships on site
- Identify and communicate safety compliance and regulatory concerns
Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of construction industry experience
- Registered Apprentice Carpenter actively working toward trade certification
- Strong safety mindset and commitment to project goals
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle (asset)
- Fall Protection and AWP certification (asset)

Job Details
- Job Type: Full-time, Apprenticeship
- Schedule:
- 8- or 10-hour shifts
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability as required
- Location: In person (Calgary area)

- Carpentry: 1 year (preferred)
