Canadian Linen is looking for a Materials Handler for one of the distribution centers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfy each essential duty. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required
- Pick product from inventory, verifying item numbers and quantities against pick lists.
- A valid license to operate an order picker, counterbalance, forklift, and pallet truck as required to deliver or retrieve material from stock locations to bin locations.
- Lifts, carries and counts cases to fill orders with 100% accuracy.
- Utilize handheld scanners to pick, relocate and track all products and materials.
- Loads and unloads truck shipments in a safe and efficient manner.
- Process shipments through the computerized shipping system, completing proper documentation. According to the method of shipping.
- Follow and obey Company Safety Policy, OSHA, MSDS and Covid 19 protocols
- Inspect equipment daily as required by company Safety Standards.
- Conducts daily cycle counts as required.
- And any other duties given by the Supervisor or Manager
Interaction
This position will interact closely with co-workers, Supervisors, Lead hand and Manager.
Job Requirements:
- At least three to four years of warehouse and distribution experience.
- Experience with receiving, order picking, shipping, and cycle counts in a bar-coded warehouse is a plus.
- Organized and attention to detail is imperative.
- Minimum grade 12 education
- Must be good with numbers and calculations
Compensation: The hourly rate that Canadian Linen and Uniform Service reasonably expects to pay for this position is between $19.00-$21.50, depending on circumstances including an applicant’s skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors.
