Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, with experience in both industrial and construction environments. This role requires proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics, as well as hands-on experience with various electrical tools and equipment. The Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems to ensure safety and efficiency.
Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with relevant codes and regulations.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical systems.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to complete installations and repairs effectively.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues, including low voltage systems and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on renovation projects to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues before they become significant problems.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols while performing all tasks.
Experience
- Proven experience as an Electrician in industrial settings or construction projects is preferred.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, including low voltage applications.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and safety equipment used in electrical work.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately.
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus.
- Previous maintenance person experience can be beneficial for this role.
