Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista/All Rounder to join our team. This role involves preparing and serving high-quality beverages, providing excellent customer service, and supporting various operational tasks within our coffee shop. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, strong time management skills, and experience in food service. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks following established recipes and standards.
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, to process transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Handle cash and perform cashiering duties with basic math skills for accurate cash handling and change.
- Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions about products, and provide exceptional customer service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including food handling and safety practices.
- Support food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks as needed.
- Ensure food safety standards are upheld at all times, adhering to health regulations.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining quality standards.
- Support team members with additional duties such as restocking supplies or cleaning equipment when necessary.
Experience
- Previous barista experience or food service experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, is a plus.
- Knowledge of food safety procedures and proper food handling techniques is advantageous.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely service during peak hours.
