We are looking for an experienced, reliable Moving Truck Driver to join our team. Work is available on an as-needed basis, with increased demand expected toward the end of the month and opportunities for ongoing work for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate moving trucks and transport customers' household and commercial belongings
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any issues promptly
- Load, secure, and unload furniture and other items safely to prevent damage during transport
- Assist with wrapping, protecting, and securing items as needed
- Plan and follow efficient routes while complying with traffic laws and company procedures
- Assist the moving crew with loading and unloading when required
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance of the truck
- Communicate professionally with customers and team members throughout the job
- Complete required paperwork, including inspection reports and other job-related documentation
Requirements:
- Previous professional moving/delivery truck driving experience is required
- Valid Ontario driver's license (G-Class)
- Clean driving record with no serious traffic violations
- Comfortable driving large moving trucks in Toronto and the GTA, including residential streets and busy downtown areas
- Knowledge of proper cargo loading and securement practices
- Physically capable of assisting with moving duties, including lifting and carrying furniture when required
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team
- Professional appearance, positive attitude, and strong customer service skills
- Legally authorized to work in Canada with valid documentation
- Available for flexible, on-call shifts, including busy end-of-month periods
