Our client in the south Etiobcoke area is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Shipper/Receiver to join their team team.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing the shipping and receiving processes within our warehouse. Your expertise in warehouse management systems and order fulfillment will ensure that products are accurately processed and delivered in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse operations, including experience with various equipment and tools.
Shift: Monday to Friday- 9 pm to 5 am
*Must be able to work in a cold environment with meat products*
Duties
Responsible for the upkeep and organization of the production cooler area
- Manage stock rotation, transferring frozen products for tempering
- Transporting completed orders to the warehouse upon shipment
- Safely operate a forklift to move skids between the warehouse and production area
- Place production skids in the stock area and lotting them appropriately
- Prepare the shipping and receiving dock to accept incoming / outgoing product
- Pick orders and prepare for shipping, including: stacking, wrapping, and crating products
- Match product with purchase orders / shipping orders
- Verify received product expiration codes
- Inspect product to ensure saleable condition with acceptable code dating
- Operate a Forklift or Electric Pallet Jack in a safe manner to move product
- Maintain a safe work environment
- May lift cases of product according to documented procedures
- Adhere to the daily shipment schedule
- Report discrepancies to immediate supervisor
- Follow current standards and procedures
- Ensure that shipments contain proper documentation, and if multiple items per shipment, ensure item lists are complete
- Perform monthly inventory counts
- Maintain organized work area according to policies, procedures, and safety regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Previous shipping/receiving experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience operating the Crown stand up reach, Dockstocker & Walkie
- Must have a valid forklift license
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately
- Basic math skills for inventory management and order processing tasks
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
