Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dependable Flatbed Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting freight across various routes while ensuring timely deliveries. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations, heavy equipment operation, and cargo securement on flatbed trailers. Candidates with skills in freight handling will be highly valued. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on safety and efficiency.
Duties
- Safely operate flatbed trucks to transport freight over designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Secure cargo properly using straps, chains, and other equipment to prevent shifting or damage during transit
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in optimal condition.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, documentation, and reports for each trip
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered during transit
Requirements
- Valid AZ commercial driver’s license (CDL)
- Proven experience in commercial driving, especially with flatbed trailers
- Knowledge of freight handling, cargo securement techniques, and safety protocols
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
- Prior experience operating heavy equipment is a plus
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
