Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and patient-focused Licensed Pharmacist to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist who is passionate about clinical practice, prescribing, patient assessments, and expanding their scope within Alberta’s evolving healthcare landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional dispensing services and medication counseling.
- Conduct patient assessments and prescribe within pharmacist scope of practice.
- Administer injections and immunizations.
- Manage chronic disease conditions through pharmacist-led care.
- Perform medication reviews and care planning services.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Support pharmacy operations, workflow management, and quality assurance initiatives.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and patient care.
Qualifications
- Licensed and in good standing with the Alberta College of Pharmacy.
- Authorization to administer drugs by injection.
- Additional Prescribing Authorization (APA) is considered a strong asset.
- Strong clinical knowledge and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a community pharmacy setting.
- Experience with Kroll Pharmacy Management Software is an asset.
