Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Colonics Practitioner to join our healthcare team. This role involves providing specialized colon hydrotherapy treatments aimed at promoting patient wellness and supporting overall health. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, medical terminology, and experience working within clinical or home care settings. A background in hospital or acute care, as well as familiarity with electronic health records such as Epic or Cerner, is highly desirable. Responsibilities
- Conduct colon hydrotherapy sessions with professionalism and adherence to safety protocols
- Assess patient needs and medical histories to tailor treatment plans effectively
- Educate patients on the benefits of colonics and provide guidance on post-treatment care
- Maintain accurate documentation of treatments using electronic health records systems such as Epic or Cerner
- Collect and record relevant data related to patient progress and outcomes
- Assist with general patient care activities, including preparation and post-treatment support
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care, especially in settings involving hospital experience, pediatrics, pain management, or home care environments
- Follow all infection control procedures and uphold high standards of hygiene and safety during procedures
Skills
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and clinical procedures related to colon hydrotherapy
- Experience in hospital, acute care, or home care settings preferred
- Knowledge of pain management techniques and pediatrics is advantageous
- Proficiency with electronic health record systems such as Epic or Cerner
- Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach
- Ability to collect accurate data and assist with medical documentation and medication administration when necessary
- Effective communication skills for educating patients and collaborating with healthcare teams
- Research skills are beneficial for staying current with best practices in holistic health treatments
