Position Overview
We are seeking a warm, reliable, and enthusiastic French In-Person Tutoring Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, can explain concepts clearly, and creates a positive, motivating learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide in-person tutoring sessions during the summer, after school and on weekends
- Support students with homework, skill development, and study strategies
- Adapt instruction to different learning styles and grade levels
- Prepare engaging activities and learning materials as needed
- Track student progress and communicate with parents/guardians when appropriate
- Maintain a safe, supportive, and encouraging learning environment
Qualifications
- Previous tutoring or teaching experience preferred
- Comfortable working with elementary and/or secondary students
- Strong skills in one or more of the following areas: Math, English, Reading/Writing, Science, French/ESL, Study Skills, Test Prep
- Clear and friendly communication style
- Patient, positive, and student-focused attitude
- Ability to travel to in-person session locations
- French necessary
Schedule
- Part-time, flexible
- Primarily during the summer, after school hours and weekends
Compensation
- $20–$25 per hour, based on experience and subject expertise
