Dunwald & Fleming Enterprises Ltd. is seeking a Project Coordinator to support our shallow utility, gas distribution, and HDD operations in Calgary, Alberta. This position works closely with Project Managers and field personnel to support the successful delivery of construction projects.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Project/Site Managers with the planning, coordination, and execution of shallow utility, gas distribution, and HDD construction projects.
- Support daily project operations and administrative functions throughout all phases of construction.
- Manage project documentation, including purchase orders, material tracking, RFQs, RFIs, change requests, change orders, project setup, reports, and estimating support.
- Support Project/Site Managers with project cost control, forecasting, schedule tracking, quantity tracking, and financial reporting.
- Coordinate utility locates, permits, stakeholder notifications, and other requirements to support utility construction operations.
- Act as a liaison between clients, subcontractors, suppliers, utility owners, and field personnel.
- Maintain accurate project records and provide regular project status updates.
- Review and process daily reports, timesheets, labour reports, equipment reports, and LEM’s for accuracy
- Support invoicing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and project billing processes.
- Assist with construction handover packages and project close-out documentation.
- Coordinate with internal departments, including operations, procurement, safety, quality, and accounting.
- Uphold and promote compliance with company health, safety, environmental, and quality policies and procedures.
- Identify opportunities to improve project controls, administrative processes, and reporting efficiency.
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of experience in project coordination or construction project support, preferably in utility construction.
- Post-secondary education in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management is considered an asset.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence with a minimum of three years of insurable driving experience
- Pre-employment Drug and Alcohol testing required
- Experience with gas main and service installation, HDD, or conduit installation considered an asset
- Experience working with Shallow Utility Providers/Construction Companies considered a strong asset
- Experience requesting and managing Alberta One Call/Utility Safety Partner locates
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with construction project management or tracking systems.
- AutoCAD or Bluebeam experience is considered an asset
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and project documentation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with field staff, management, clients, and subcontractors
- Working knowledge of construction health, safety, and environmental requirements
Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
