Overview
We are seeking a bilingual Czech-English Estate/Property Coordinator to manage the selling of two estate properties; one in Znojmo, the other in Brno.
You are a Mac OS/Apple-computer-savvy, retired or semi-retired Czech-English law clerk, legal assistant, accountant, or executive assistant living in Durham Region or Toronto, willing to work 6–18 hours per week in person in a private home.
The Czech probate process is complete. Assistance is now required to manage two properties including paying utility bills, making preparations to sell the properties, and help to understand and act on various correspondence dealing with bills, assets, utility accounts, etc.
Initial Task List
- Pay or confirm payment of the Brno municipal waste-fee arrears of 3,140 CZK
- Confirm whether the property insurance debt was paid
- Ask current property caretaker to confirm the apartment/gas/utilities status
- Confirm Znojmo-based lawyer's legal invoices are fully settled and resolve the overpayment/refund issue of 19,057.50 CZK
- Confirm the Czech land registry transfer is complete for both properties before beginning the sale process
- Resolve the Brno address discrepancy/conflict with the Brno waste-fee document
- Get current sale valuations or realtor opinions for both Czech properties
Experience
- Mac OS/Apple computer usage
- Strong background in administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and document management
- Czech-English law clerk, legal assistant, accountant, or executive assistant
- Excellent communication skills in both Czech and English
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to work in a private home and on Mac OS/Apple computers to allow supervised access to various accounts as required
- Gmail, Microsoft Excel, Word, Wise for sending/receiving foreign currency
- Ability to pay Czech utility bills online; use Wise to pay overseas invoices
Pay: $25.00-$45.00 per hour
