Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Landscape Labourer to join our team and assist with a variety of outdoor landscaping projects. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work, possess basic horticultural knowledge, and be eager to contribute to maintaining beautiful and functional landscapes. This role involves hands-on work with gardening, landscape maintenance, and construction-related tasks, supporting the overall aesthetic and health of our clients’ outdoor spaces.
Responsibilities
- Assist with landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, planting, and mulching
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for various landscaping tasks
- Perform excavation work using equipment such as excavators when required
- Support irrigation system installation and repairs to ensure proper watering of landscapes
- Maintain gardens by pruning, weeding, and fertilizing plants as needed
- Assist in construction projects such as building retaining walls, patios, or pathways
- Conduct routine equipment maintenance to ensure tools and machinery are in good working condition
- Follow safety protocols at all times during outdoor work activities
Skills
- Experience with gardening, horticulture, and landscape maintenance techniques
- Mechanical knowledge related to operating and maintaining landscaping equipment
- Familiarity with hand tools (shovels, rakes, pruners) and power tools (trimmers, drills)
- Ability to operate construction equipment such as excavators is a plus
- Knowledge of irrigation systems installation and repair is desirable
- Strong physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions
- Construction experience or background is advantageous for supporting larger projects
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
