Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman/woman Mechanic to join our team in our busy automotive shop, committed to providing quality service, in a friendly, community-focused environment.. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles with a focus on quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have extensive mechanical knowledge and proficiency with various tools and schematics.
Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on vehicles using advanced mechanical skills
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete repairs efficiently
- Interpret schematics, technical manuals, and diagrams for accurate troubleshooting
- Conduct routine maintenance services such as oil changes, brake repairs, and tire rotations
- Assist with assembly and disassembly of vehicle components during repair processes
- Engage in heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks as required for repair jobs
- Maintain detailed service records and document all work performed
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and recommendations clearly
Qualifications
- Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive repair
- Proficiency with welding, schematics, assembly, and maintenance tasks
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and automotive components
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Valid certification or license as a Journeyman/woman Mechanic is required or equivalent experience
- Good communication skills and customer service orientation
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Valid drivers license required
What we offer:
- Monday to Friday 8 AM - 5 PM work days, No weekends
- Tool allowance
Pay: $32.00-$45.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
