Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for a Finance Manager who:
- Has at least three years of successful automotive dealership Finance Manager experience
- Is currently working in, or has recent experience in, an automotive dealership finance office
- Has a proven history of achieving strong finance gross and product penetration
- Understands automotive lending, deal structure, approvals, funding, and compliance
- Has established working relationships with automotive lenders and financial institutions
- Can confidently present finance, insurance, warranty, and protection options
- Is highly organized and takes ownership of every deal from turnover through funding
- Knows how to create value without compromising customer trust
- Performs well under pressure and handles a busy finance office confidently
- Is motivated by performance and uncapped earning potential
- Works well with salespeople, managers, lenders, and customers
- Brings a positive attitude and contributes to the overall success of the dealership
- Values professionalism, accountability, transparency, and doing business properly
Important Experience Requirement
This is not an entry-level position.
Applicants must have a minimum of three years of direct experience working as a Finance Manager in an automotive dealership.
General banking, accounting, insurance, retail sales, or administrative experience will not be considered a substitute for automotive dealership Finance Manager experience.
Only applicants who meet this requirement will be considered.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Conducting professional and thorough customer credit interviews
- Preparing accurate credit applications
- Presenting financing, leasing, warranty, insurance, and protection options
- Selling extended warranties, creditor insurance, appearance protection, and other available ownership products
- Handling customer questions and overcoming objections professionally
- Preparing and reviewing all required contracts and delivery documentation
- Ensuring every deal is booked, funded, and finalized accurately and on time
- Maintaining accurate, organized, and complete deal files
- Working closely with the sales and management teams to provide a smooth customer experience
- Protecting the confidentiality of all customer information
- Meeting and exceeding established finance, product, profitability, and customer-experience targets
- Following all dealership policies and applicable provincial and federal regulations
What You’ll Bring
- A minimum of three years of automotive dealership Finance Manager experience
- A proven record of strong performance
- Excellent deal-structuring and credit-analysis skills
- Strong automotive lender knowledge and relationships
- Experience with prime and non-prime credit applications
- Thorough knowledge of automotive finance, leasing, warranties, insurance, and protection products
- Strong communication, listening, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- The ability to manage multiple active deals and deadlines
- Confidence handling customer objections and difficult conversations
- Strong computer, lender portal, CRM, and dealership management system skills
- A valid driver’s licence and clean driving record
- Legal authorization to work in Canada
