Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated and skilled individuals to join our Civil Sewer and Watermain Crew. This role involves working on infrastructure projects that require precision, safety, and teamwork. This position offers an opportunity to develop technical skills in a dynamic construction environment, contributing to essential public works projects that improve community infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Installation of sanitary sewers, storm sewers, watermains, and related underground services
- Reading and interpreting construction drawings, grade sheets, and project specifications
- Working safely around trenches, shoring, and excavations
- Pipe laying, jointing, bedding, and backfilling operations
- Assisting with utility locates and maintaining pipe alignment and grade
- Operating heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Working around live municipal infrastructure and congested urban environments
- Supporting road reconstruction and underground servicing projects
- Maintaining a strong commitment to health and safety standards
Requirements
- Previous sewer and watermain construction experience
- Experience working on municipal underground infrastructure projects
- Knowledge of sewer, storm, and watermain installation procedures
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Experience with large-diameter sewer installations
- Experience with deep excavations and trench safety procedures
- Confined Space, Working at Heights, First Aid, or Traffic Control certifications
- Heavy equipment operating experience
- Ability to read grades, stakes, and construction drawings
