Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Part-Time or full time Burrito Maker to join our vibrant restaurant team. This role involves preparing delicious burritos and other menu items, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, strong multitasking skills, and experience in food service or restaurant settings. This position offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills and gain valuable experience in the food industry.
Responsibilities
- Prepare burritos and other menu items according to established recipes and quality standards
- Operate the Micros POS system for order processing and cash handling
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, kitchen equipment, and dining areas
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed
- Provide friendly and attentive customer service, addressing customer questions or concerns professionally
Experience
- Previous food preparation or food service experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours
- Basic math skills for cash handling, measuring ingredients, and processing transactions
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Restaurant or food industry experience is advantageous but not mandatory; a positive attitude and eagerness to learn are essential
Pay: From $17.60 per hour
