Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the dental team in providing exceptional patient care and ensure smooth clinical operations. Experience with dental software such as Epic and Dentrix, as well as familiarity with orthodontics, pediatrics, and medical terminology, will be highly valued. Duties
- Assist dentists during a variety of procedures, including orthodontic and pediatric treatments
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments using CAD technology when necessary
- Manage patient records efficiently using AkituOne software system
- Take and develop dental radiographs as needed
- Provide patient education on oral health and post-treatment care
- Support front desk activities, including scheduling appointments and managing patient check-in/out processes
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and medical histories using appropriate dental terminology
Experience
- Previous experience in dental assisting or related healthcare roles is preferred
- Familiarity with dental software such as Epic, Dentrix, and CAD systems is highly desirable
- Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and medical terminology will enhance your effectiveness in this role
- Experience working as a dental receptionist or in customer service within a healthcare setting is a plus
- Certification in level 2 dental assisting or relevant training programs is advantageous but not mandatory
