Responsibilities
- Provide professional hair cutting, styling, trimming, and grooming services tailored to each client’s preferences
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in all work areas and tools in compliance with health regulations
- Engage with clients to understand their desired look and offer expert advice on styles and hair care products
- Upsell retail hair care products and grooming accessories to enhance client satisfaction and increase sales
- Manage front desk duties such as scheduling appointments, greeting clients, and handling payments efficiently
- Build strong relationships with clients through excellent communication skills, ensuring repeat business and positive reviews
- Stay updated on the latest haircutting techniques, trends, and industry best practices to continually elevate service quality
Skills
- Valid barber license or certification demonstrating compliance with local licensing requirements
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Proficiency in hair styling techniques for various hair types and textures
- Strong knowledge of sanitation protocols to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
- Effective communication skills to clearly understand client needs and explain styling options
