Business Law Instructor
Wales Young Institute is a private college located in downtown Vancouver. Business Law Instructor is responsible for teaching the subject to the students. Also, the instructor is responsible for creating weekly lesson plans, evaluating students’ work (exams and assignments), participate in assessing the course outline, etc. Class instruction will be delivered using Zoom and an online learning management system – training provided.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Teach students using a systematic plan of lectures, demonstrations, discussion groups, laboratory work, shop sessions, seminars, case studies, field assignments and independent or group projects
- Prepare, administer and mark online tests and papers to evaluate students' progress
- Supervise independent or group projects, field placements, laboratory work or hands-on training
- Supervise teaching assistants
- Planning, developing and executing lessons that meet the school requirements
- Provide guidance and assistance with student issues in the classroom
- Utilize the student management system to enter grades, attendance, and student correspondence
- Represent the college with professionalism and the highest level of ethics
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience with teaching multicultural students/or underpreparedstudents
- Experience in distance delivery and other instructional methods
- Understand and commit to the community college mission
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with minimum supervision

Required Education and Experiences:
- Work experience as a manager in the required field for no less than two years.
- Diploma or degree in the subject of teaching.
