Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with experience working on various types of machinery and equipment. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles and industrial equipment, ensuring safety and quality standards are met. Candidates with dealership experience and mechanical expertise are highly preferred. Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair a wide range of automotive issues using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid replacements
- Work on heavy machinery including excavators, cranes, forklifts, farm machinery, and industrial equipment
- Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently when required
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams to troubleshoot problems
- Utilize welding, HVAC skills, and electrical knowledge for complex repairs
- Maintain detailed service records for each vehicle or piece of equipment serviced
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding repairs needed and completed work
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
- Assist in assembly or installation of mechanical components as needed
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an automotive mechanic or service technician; dealership experience is a plus
- Strong mechanical knowledge across automotive systems and industrial equipment
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic tools
- Experience working with heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, or farm equipment
- Knowledge of schematics, electrical systems, HVAC systems, and industrial maintenance procedures
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding environments
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients
- Relevant certifications or licenses related to automotive repair or industrial equipment operation are preferred
