ABS Machining is a leading custom fabrication and manufacturing company specializing in manufacturing and production of large, complex welded assemblies ranging from 10,000 lbs to over 200,000 + lbs. Our team of professionals works in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment, producing some of the most technically demanding and precision-engineered weldments in Canada.
Position Overview:
We are seeking highly skilled Shipper/Receiver/Forklift Operator.
Position Summary:
Responsible for the movement of material throughout the manufacturing facility.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Direct, receive, inspect incoming shipments, compare packing slips/ purchase orders.
Receive incoming material into ERP system.
Transmit or scan paperwork to purchasing/accounts daily.
Operate tow motor and overhead cranes to transport parts on the shop floor
Assist with setting up parts at workstations
As required, pick up and deliver parts to and from external suppliers and customers
Retrieve parts for weld stations’ from the yard
Dump chips bins at the beginning/end of each shift.
Conduct daily Forklift Inspection
Ensure traceability is maintained (skid/part to be identified with Job #)
Follow safe work procedures/policies
Other duties as assigned (deburring)
Job Specifications / Qualifications:
High school diploma
Tow motor license and drivers license mandatory
Crane operation certification an asset
Good communication skills
Detailed oriented
Strong organizational skills
Strong computer skills
Ability to work with minimum supervision
Understanding of the Workplace Safety Act and WHIMIS
Position based in Burlington.
