For over 45 years, Deslaurier Custom Cabinets has been designing and manufacturing premium custom cabinetry for homeowners, builders, and designers across Ontario. As we expand into the Burlington/Oakville market, we're looking for an experienced Kitchen Install & Service Technician to help establish our reputation for exceptional craftsmanship and customer service.
This is a unique opportunity to become one of the first members of our Burlington/Oakville team and grow with an established Canadian company.
Duties
- Install custom kitchen cabinetry, vanities, and millwork to company quality standards.
- Read and interpret shop drawings, layouts, and installation plans.
- Complete service and warranty work efficiently and professionally.
- Troubleshoot installation issues and provide practical solutions on-site.
- Communicate with homeowners, builders, designers, and the Deslaurier production team.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.
- Maintain company vehicle, tools, and service inventory.
- Represent Deslaurier professionally in customers' homes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of cabinetry installation experience (custom cabinetry preferred).
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and architectural plans.
- Strong problem-solving and finish carpentry skills.
- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Valid Ontario driver's licence with a clean driving record.
- Own standard installation hand tools.
- Reside in or near the Burlington/Oakville area or be willing to travel within the region.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with residential renovations and new home construction.
- Experience installing European/frameless cabinetry.
- Red Seal Carpenter certification or equivalent trade experience.
