Position Details
Nason Contracting Group Ltd. is currently seeking an experienced Excavator Operator for local work at our project in Edmonton, AB.
- Schedule: 5 on, 2 off
- Benefits & RRSP: Provided as per Collective Agreement
- Start Date: ASAP
- Wage: $39.47
- Safely operate equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and industry standards
- Precision excavation around:
- Underground utilities
- Grounding grids
- Duct banks
- Foundations
- Structural components
- Trenching and backfilling operations
- Substation foundations and equipment pad preparation
- Duct bank installation support and exposure
- Grounding grid installation support
- Grading and site preparation activities
- Plan and execute work to avoid delays and ensure efficient project progression
- Operate equipment in tight areas and around personnel, underground utilities, and overhead power lines
- Perform routine inspections, cleaning, basic maintenance, and fueling of equipment
- Valid Excavator Operator certification
- Additional preferred certifications:
- Telehandler / Zoom Boom (ESC MEWP/AWP)
- CSTS 2020
- WHMIS 2015
- ESC Fall Protection
- Ground Disturbance
- Strong understanding of occupational hazards and applicable safety precautions
- Ability to take direction, work independently, and follow written and verbal instructions
