Position: Commercial Maintenance Technician
Hours: Full-time, Monday – Friday | 37.5 hours/week. 0.5 hour unpaid lunch.
Location: Victoria, British Columbia
Pemberton Holmes Ltd. Commercial Property Management Division is now hiring a Maintenance Technician to provide general building and grounds maintenance for managed commercial properties in and around Greater Victoria. The managed portfolio includes a mix of office, retail, warehouse, restaurant, and mixed-use buildings.
The successful candidate will be assigned their own building portfolio in the Greater Victoria region (Downtown Victoria, Langford, Colwood, Saanich). Candidate should have:
- Valid BC driver’s license
- Reliable vehicle which can be insured for work purposes. This will be required as daily work vehicle (mileage allowance provided).
- Set of own basic tools, and knowledge of operating commercial tools including but not limited to: power/pressure washers, gardening tools (weed whackers, mowers), power sweepers, blowers, etc.
Candidate must maintain certifications in Basic First Aid & CPR, WHMIS, and Fall Protection. Existing valid certifications an asset but not required as training can be provided by the company.
Looking for a self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills who can work independently and communicate well with other team members and clients. The candidate must be capable of performing physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting. Experience is an asset, training will be provided to the right candidate.

- Must be willing to respond to after-hours emergency calls (very few come in but candidate must be willing to respond if needed)
- Candidate works with other maintenance technicians, maintenance supervisor, and reports to the commercial managing director, property managers, and maintenance supervisor
