Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Seasonal Delivery Driver to join our team. This role involves transporting agricultural goods safely and efficiently to various customers and locations, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have experience with driving a 10-ton truck, operate forklifts when necessary, and possess a strong safety mindset. Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 10-ton truck to transport agricultural goods to designated locations
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or electric pallet trucks as needed
- Ensure accurate delivery of freight, verifying orders against delivery manifests
- Maintain proper documentation of deliveries and pickups
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations during transportation
- Assist with warehouse operations, including freight handling and inventory management
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to coordinate delivery schedules
- Perform daily inspections of vehicle and perform minor repairs or troubleshooting if required to ensure vehicle readiness
Skills
- Valid Class 3 license with air brakes endorsement (code 15)
- Experience operating forklifts (with a valid license) is a plus
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols
- Ability to operate vehicles safely in various conditions and spaces
- Basic mechanical skills for minor troubleshooting and maintenance
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and customers
- Ability to operate within tight schedules while maintaining safety standards
This role is essential for ensuring our products reach customers efficiently and safely, contributing directly to the success of our operations.
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
