Professional Home Organizer (Independent Contractor)
Nest House Manager is seeking a Professional Home Organizer to join our team as an Independent Contractor.
Before applying, please note:
Contractor Position
This is an independent contractor role, not an employee position.
Contractors are responsible for:
- Submitting invoices to Nest House Manager twice per month
- Managing their own taxes and remittances
- Maintaining required insurance coverage
No business registration is required, and you do not need to have an existing company to apply. We provide an invoice template and guidance to make the process simple and straightforward.
Insurance Requirement
To protect both our contractors and our clients' homes, liability insurance is required before beginning work.
Nest works with a trusted insurance contact who can provide quotes through Co-operators and assist with the setup process.
As an example:
- Estimated insurance cost: approximately $50/month
- Nest contributes a 50% insurance co-pay
- Contractor cost is typically reduced by approximately $25/month
Background Check Requirement
A criminal record/background check is required before starting work with Nest House Manager.

Do You Walk Into a Space and Instantly See a Better Way?
Nest House Manager is looking for a talented Professional Home Organizer with a unique skill set: the ability to walk into a space and immediately see its potential.
We're not simply looking for someone who enjoys tidying. We're looking for someone who can identify wasted space, inefficient systems, and organizational bottlenecks—and transform them into beautiful, functional solutions that make everyday life easier for our clients.
The Role
As a Professional Home Organizer, you will work directly with families to create systems that bring order, simplicity, and flow to their homes.
You should be able to:
- Assess a space and quickly identify opportunities for improvement

- Create customized organization systems based on each family's lifestyle
- Organize pantries, closets, kitchens, mudrooms, playrooms, home offices, storage rooms, garages, and more
- Recommend organizational products and storage solutions that enhance functionality
- Create shopping lists for bins, baskets, shelving, labels, drawer organizers, and other solutions when needed
- Implement systems that are realistic, maintainable, and easy for clients to follow long-term
- Help clients declutter and make decisions about what stays and what goes
Who You Are
You naturally see solutions where others see clutter.
You walk into a room and instantly notice:
✔ Unused vertical space
✔ Inefficient storage layouts
✔ Opportunities to simplify daily routines
✔ Better ways to categorize and contain items
✔ Products or systems that could dramatically improve functionality
You have a strong eye for both aesthetics and practicality, understanding that the best organizational systems are beautiful, functional, and easy to maintain.

- Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license
- Ability to work independently in clients' homes
- Strong communication and client-service skills
