Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and customer-oriented Taxi Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent driving skills and a strong commitment to providing exceptional service to passengers. As a Taxi Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting clients to their destinations while ensuring a pleasant and comfortable experience.
Duties
- Safely operate a taxi vehicle while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting passengers with their needs during the ride.
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely pickups and drop-offs.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, providing change as necessary.
- Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the taxi vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Navigate efficiently using GPS systems or maps to find the best routes.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding passenger requests and any changes in schedule.
- Assist clients/guests with special needs.
- Other related duties as required.
Schedule: 8-hour shifts, 12-hour shifts, variable shifts
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to operate in both Canada and the U.S
- Proven experience in driving, preferably in a commercial driving capacity.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with diverse clientele.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure punctuality and efficiency.
- Ability to handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records of fares collected.
- Familiarity with local streets, landmarks, and traffic patterns is preferred.
