Bomanite Toronto is a leading decorative concrete contractor specializing in architectural concrete finishes, stamped concrete, exposed aggregate, polished concrete, site concrete, and custom hardscape solutions for commercial, municipal, and residential projects throughout the Greater Toronto Area and surrounding regions.
We are seeking a motivated, organized, and detail-oriented Full-Time Estimator to join our growing team.
Position Summary
The Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive project estimates, reviewing drawings and specifications, coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors, and supporting project management and sales operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in securing profitable projects while maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, and general contractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Review drawings, specifications, tender documents, and project requirements
- Perform quantity take-offs and cost analysis for concrete and hardscape projects
- Prepare detailed and accurate estimates, budgets, and bid proposals
- Solicit and evaluate pricing from suppliers and subcontractors
- Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, and operations teams
- Attend site visits, pre-bid meetings, and project walkthroughs as required
- Maintain estimating databases, historical costs, and bid records
- Analyze project risks, production rates, labour requirements, and scheduling impacts
- Assist in contract reviews and scope clarification
- Track awarded and lost projects for future estimating improvements
- Communicate professionally with clients, consultants, and contractors
- Support business development and client relationship management
Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of estimating experience in concrete construction, hardscape, or related construction fields
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and tendering processes
- Experience with decorative concrete, architectural concrete, or site concrete is considered an asset
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Experience with estimating software is preferred
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and time-management abilities
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Valid Ontario driver’s license and reliable transportation
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of concrete forming, placing, finishing, and sealing processes
- Familiarity with municipal, commercial, and residential construction standards
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines simultaneously
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Experience reading civil and landscape architectural drawings

Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
