Hesper.io is launching Lideum, a specialized Shopify development division. We build and maintain high-performing eCommerce sites, and we are looking for a highly organized Technical Project Manager to take the lead on our projects and keep everything running smoothly.
The Role This is an hourly contract position where you will act as the core link between our clients, internal stakeholders, and our development team. We require someone with strong agency experience who knows the Shopify ecosystem inside and out.
The ideal candidate has enough hands-on technical knowledge to jump into the Shopify admin and execute routine adjustments independently, keeping our developers focused on complex builds.
What You'll Do
- Project Scoping: Turn high-level client requests into clear, actionable technical scopes of work.
- Workflow Management: Own the project lifecycle. Write detailed Jira tickets, assign tasks, and keep the backlog organized.
- Team Coordination: Run check-ins with the dev team, clear bottlenecks, and make sure deliverables hit their deadlines.
- Client Communication: Be the main point of contact for clients and internal project owners, keeping everyone updated on timelines and project health.
Required Skills
- Shopify Platform: Deep practical knowledge of the Shopify admin panel, native features, and common third-party apps.
- Systems Integration & Architecture: Understanding of how eCommerce platforms communicate with external systems (ERPs, CRMs, CMS, etc.) via APIs. You must be able to architecturally assess if a client's request is technically possible at a high level.
- Jira & Agile: Proven experience using Jira to manage backlogs, write detailed user stories, and lead Agile workflows.
- Frontend Development Basics: Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Liquid to troubleshoot and execute minor code or template updates.
- Technical Writing: Ability to translate vague client requests into precise, developer-ready technical specs.
- Client Management: Excellent written and verbal communication for managing client expectations and delivery timelines.
What You Bring
- Agency Background: Proven track record working as a PM in a fast-paced digital development agency.
- Technical Independence: Ability to execute routine Shopify updates without developer support, including:
- Modifying product catalogs, pricing, and variants.
- Configuring cross-sells, upsells, and discount logic.
- Updating theme settings, menus, and navigation.
- Managing app configurations and metafields.
