Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant General Manager to oversee daily operations at our bustling restaurant. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, a passion for food service, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of restaurant management, food safety standards, and team supervision to ensure smooth and profitable operations.
Duties
- Manage all aspects of restaurant operations, including staffing, inventory, and customer service
- Handling of hiring and training of all future management, front of house and heart of house employees.
- Must be hardworking individual and prepared to be very involved on the floor of the restaurant, in the community and be able to work in a teams setting.
- Committed to being a leader and not a boss, lead the charge, teach by delegating and educating.
- Restaurant General Manager has a focus with the Front of House and Heart of House (Kitchen) operations
- Supervise and train staff in food preparation, cooking, serving, and food handling procedures
- Oversee food safety compliance and ensure adherence to health regulations
- Handle cash transactions and POS operations using POSitouch.
- Recruit, interview, and onboard new team members with a focus on hospitality and food industry standards
- Monitor restaurant performance metrics and implement strategies for continuous improvement
- Ensure high standards of customer service are maintained at all times
- Coordinate kitchen activities with kitchen staff to ensure timely food delivery and quality control
- Manage restaurant cleanliness, safety protocols, and overall facility maintenance
- Lead team management efforts by motivating staff, conducting performance reviews, and fostering a positive work environment
Skills
- Proven experience in restaurant management or food service leadership roles
- Strong supervisory experience with team management capabilities
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence
- Proficiency in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly POSitouch
- Effective cash handling and financial management skills
- Ability to oversee food handling procedures and ensure compliance with health regulations
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop staff members
- Experience in interviewing candidates and building strong teams in a restaurant setting
- Knowledge of the food industry trends, kitchen operations, and restaurant experience including hotel or barista experience is a plus
