Landscape & Snow Removal Operations Manager

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Landscape & Snow Removal Operations Manager to lead our landscape maintenance and snow removal divisions. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for overseeing daily field operations, supporting crews, ensuring exceptional service delivery, maintaining a strong safety culture, and driving operational efficiency year-round.
Responsibilities
· Oversee the daily operations of the landscape maintenance and snow removal divisions.
· Plan and coordinate schedules, staffing, equipment, materials, and resources to meet operational demands.
· Lead, supervise, mentor, and support field crews while fostering a positive, safety-focused work environment.
· Accommodate operational demands by supporting flexible work schedules, including evenings, nights, weekends, statutory holidays, and emergency snow events.
· Monitor job progress, labor productivity, and equipment utilization to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on time, and to company quality standards.
· Conduct site inspections, safety meetings, and ensure compliance with company policies, Alberta OHS legislation, and COR requirements.
· Complete and maintain accurate operational reports, inspections, production records, and other required documentation.
· Ensure adequate inventory levels of materials, supplies, and equipment required for daily operations.
· Review and approve employee timesheets, maintain operational records, and complete required reporting.
· Coordinate fleet maintenance, equipment readiness, and inventory to minimize downtime.
· Monitor operational costs and identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, and profitability.
· Coordinate winter on-call schedules and oversee snow event response to meet contractual service levels.
· Collaborate with senior management to establish operational goals, implement process improvements, and support the continued growth of the company.
· Provide hands-on support in the field when operational demands require.
Qualifications
- Previous supervisory or management experience in landscaping, snow removal, construction, or a related industry considered an asset
- Strong leadership, communication, planning, and organizational skills.
- Experience managing commercial landscape maintenance and snow removal operations.
- Ability to operate trucks, trailers, skid steers, and other landscape or snow removal equipment.
- Mechanically inclined
- Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver's Licence with a clean driver's abstract.
- Standard First Aid certification (preferred).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
