Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Sales
- Greet customers and provide friendly, helpful service
- Assist customers in finding sizes, styles, and products
- Operate the cash register accurately
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked sales floor
- Support merchandising and seasonal floor resets
Buying / Product Evaluation
- Evaluate incoming secondhand items based on condition, safety, brand, and store guidelines
- Determine resale value and calculate purchase offers
- Ensure buying area is clean, organized, and efficient
- Follow WINMARK safety, recall, and quality standards
Sorting / Processing
- Sort incoming clothing by size, quality, and season
Tagging / Processing
- Attach tags to individual items and ensure they are matched to the correct product
- Organize items on the correct floor racks or shelves
- Refill shelves and maintain fully stocked sections
- Create backstock bins and organize them by category and season
Requirements
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends, is an asset
- Minimum 1 year retail experience
- Secondhand store experience is a strong asset
- Friendly, reliable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Good communication skills
- Ability to lift bins/items as needed for daily operations
