Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our dealership team. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers needing vehicle maintenance and repairs, ensuring a seamless service experience. This role combines strong customer service skills with automotive knowledge to accurately assess customer needs, recommend services, and coordinate repairs with our skilled technicians.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and listen carefully to their vehicle concerns
- Explain repair and maintenance services clearly and professionally
- Write detailed repair orders and estimate costs accurately
- Coordinate with technicians to schedule repairs and ensure timely completion
- Upsell additional services or maintenance based on vehicle needs and customer interest
- Handle cash transactions and process payments efficiently
- Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and promote repeat business
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, services performed, and future recommendations
- Assist in promoting dealership services through effective communication and sales techniques
Requirements
- Previous dealership experience is highly preferred
- Mechanical knowledge or mechanic experience is a strong advantage
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly
- Sales experience, including upselling additional services or products
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
- Knowledge of automotive repair processes, parts, and service procedures is desirable
