Mormak Equipment Shipper Receiver- Calgary Branch

The Calgary Branch Shipper/Receiver performs duties related to receiving and shipping parts and accessories. Verifies merchandise and organizes its distribution. Prepares related documents and maintains the storage areas and the yard.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receives merchandise. Checks and signs delivery slips. Assists with unloading as necessary
- Unpacks parts and accessories. Verifies the quality and quantity of items against supporting documents. Accepts or returns merchandise according to established procedures.
- Completes different forms and prepares documents. Maintains files.
- Organizes distribution and shipping of parts. Makes necessary verifications against documents, prepares the merchandise and moves to the appropriate area.
- Handles customer pick-ups and deliveries
- Maintains the store, shop and yard in a safe and clean condition
- Communicate clearly with internal and external customers by phone and in person.
- Able to provide cover for the branch Parts Person during holidays and absences
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Knowledge of DIS Software an asset
- Excellent verbal, written and active listening skills
- The ability to prioritize and strong time management skills
- High attention to detail
- Able to work independently and in a team environment
- Positive attitude, self motivated, hard working
· Physical requirements of this position include the ability to push, pull, drag, and lift items up to 50 pounds. Able to perform the following duties for prolonged periods: Bending, walking, kneeling, climbing equipment and stretching.
· Previous shipping experience an asset, especially within an industrial environment
- Possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving abstract
- Proficient in forklift operation, preferably with current forklift ticket.
