In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing seamless integrations between Rentrax Web-based application and hardware devices such as smarlocks and IoT devices, and various third-party software applications.
The Role Details:
- $55,000 - $65,000 base salary

- Hybrid role - 2025 Willingdon Ave, Burnaby, BC
- Start date – as soon as possible
Responsibilities and duties:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and design integration solutions.
- Develop and maintain APIs to facilitate communication between diverse hardware and software components.
- Integrate hardware devices and other software applications with our web-based platforms, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Configure and optimize AWS services, including but not limited to Lambda, API Gateway, and S3.
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, conducting thorough testing to ensure the robustness of integrated systems.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in integration methodologies.
- Work closely with other software developers, hardware engineers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality, integrated solutions.
The Candidate
Individuals with the following traits, skills and experiences should apply:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience working as a Software Developer with a focus on integration engineering.
- Strong expertise in integrating hardware devices and various software applications with web-based platforms.
- Proficiency in developing and maintaining RESTful APIs.
- Experience with AWS services, with a willingness to learn and expand AWS skillset.
- Solid understanding of web-based application development and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
Nice to Have Qualifications:
- AWS certification(s) is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with other cloud platforms and integration tools.
- Experience with DevOps practices for continuous integration and deployment.
- Passion for staying updated on emerging technologies and integrating them into existing systems
