Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient individual to join our team as a Person and Cashier. This role involves providing excellent customer service, handling transactions accurately, and supporting food preparation and service operations. The ideal candidate will have a background in food service, cashiering, and food safety, with strong time management skills to ensure smooth daily operations. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their orders
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, accurately processing sales and payments
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and perform cash handling duties with precision
- Prepare and serve food items following food safety and sanitation standards
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and serving areas
- Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed at all times
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly
- Assist in food preparation as needed, supporting kitchen staff with basic tasks
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions and resolving issues professionally
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred
- Knowledge of POS systems, especially Micros POS, is a plus
- Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations quickly
- Experience in cashiering, serving, or food industry roles is desirable
- Good time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours
- Kitchen experience or food preparation skills are advantageous
- Ability to work in fast-paced settings while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic understanding of upselling techniques to promote menu items effectively
Pay: $17.60-$22.00 per hour
