Pacificheart Childcare is searching for a manager to create and execute our programs including but not limited to:
-Before and After School Care
-Winter and Spring Break Camp
-Summer Camp
-Extra-curricular programming
-Administrative work
The successful candidate must:
-Be 19 years or older
-Have up to date first aid/CPR
-Have a current criminal record check
-Have 20+ hours of experience/training with youth and children
-Currently hold or be willing to get a Class 2 License
Job Description:
- Follow the mission and philosophy of Pacific Heart OOSC
- Take daily attendance, including signing children in to care and ensuring a guardian from the child's pick up list is always signing the child out of care.
- Ensure the safe pick up and drop off of children to and from school.
- Plan age appropriate activities for the children in care.
- Provide a healthy balanced snack for the children in after school care.
- Keep a clean and safe environment for children to play.
- Communicate and direct parents when needed. (Including upkeep of a parent board)
- Ensure that all staff are following their job descriptions.
- Ensure that staff and managers are always following a 12:1 ratio.
- Report to directors whenever an incident occurs. Including but not limited to (minor or serious injury, damage of property, staff behaviour, missing child, upkeep, VIHA inspections, etc.)
