Job Summary
Due to increased demand, we are seeking general labourers to join our team. We'll provide on the job training and opportunities for growth for those interested in learning new skills. In return, we ask that you bring a positive attitude and willingness to work in a team setting. Working in a safe and supervised environment, here's what you'll be asked to do:
Responsibilities
- Assist Arborists with tree removals, pruning, and debris disposals
- Carry out all maintenance duties allocated by the Foreman
- Operate brush chipping equipment and feed brush and limbs into the machine
- Collect debris and refuse from tree trimming and removal operations using shovels, rakes, and other tools or machinery
- Clearing job sites of any tree limbs, logs, or chips, ensuring that the site is free of hazards
- Assist with prepping vehicles with all required equipment for work
- Participates in a safety meeting and daily job briefings
- Adheres to all industry and company safety standards and policies, including the use of PPE at all times
Requirements
- Must hold a "G" licence and have transportation to and from the office/shop in Joyceville
- Previous experience in tree service is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy objects
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team setting.
- Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
- Must be able to work in various weather conditions.
