Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Childcare Educator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children of various ages. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, possess strong caregiving skills, and be committed to supporting early childhood development. Responsibilities
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development alongside co-educators
- Supervise children during play, meals, naps, and other daily routines to ensure safety at all times
- Foster a warm and inclusive environment that encourages curiosity and exploration
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing individualized care
- Maintain open communication with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the childcare space in accordance with health and safety standards
- Collaborate with team members to create a cohesive educational program that meets developmental milestones
Qualifications
- Prior classroom experience working with children in early childhood settings is preferred
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus
- Strong teaching skills with the ability to engage children effectively
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and caregiving practices
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and families
- Compassionate, patient, and attentive to children's needs
- Certification in CPR/First Aid is desirable but not mandatory; willingness to obtain certification is expected
- Certification of level 1 orientation course is mandatory to be completed within 6 months of employment start date
