Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Childcare Worker to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children. This role is part time and on-call and involves supporting children's developmental needs through attentive caregiving, educational activities, and fostering positive interactions. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong understanding of early childhood education principles.
Duties
- Supervise and monitor children during various activities, ensuring their safety at all times
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational and recreational activities to promote learning and development
- Assist with daily routines such as meal times, nap schedules, and hygiene practices
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages social skills, independence, and emotional growth
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom or play area in accordance with health and safety standards
Requirements
- Prior classroom experience or working with children preferred
- Strong teaching abilities and knowledge of early childhood education best practices
- Compassionate caregiving skills with patience and understanding
- Ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds and needs
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and team members
- Certification in CPR/First Aid
