Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages according to company standards
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- Assist customers with menu selections and answer questions about products
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee station and seating area
- Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations during shifts
- Ensure timely service by managing multiple orders simultaneously while maintaining quality standards
- Uphold customer service excellence by creating a welcoming environment for all patrons
Skills
- Previous 1 year Barista experience
- Proficiency with POS systems, especially Micros POS
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse clientele
- Effective time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and inventory counts
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to perform serving duties quickly while maintaining accuracy and quality
- Experience with food preparation and general food service operations is a plus
