We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry, particularly in a catering setting, and possess a passion for meal preparation and food service.
As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals while adhering to food safety and handling standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
- Assist with meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items.
- Follow all food safety guidelines to ensure the health and safety of our guests.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and communication during service hours.
- Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
- Monitor inventory levels of kitchen supplies and report any shortages to management.
Requirements
- Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of meal preparation techniques and food handling practices.
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends as needed.
