Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and qualified Early Childhood Educator to join our team. The ECE will be responsible for planning and implementing developmentally appropriate programs, supervising children, and creating a caring and stimulating environment where every child feels safe and valued.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, implement, and evaluate daily activities and learning experiences aligned with the BC Early Learning Framework.
- Foster physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development in children aged 2.5 to 5.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and engaging classroom environment.
- Guide children's behavior in a positive and respectful manner.
- Establish strong relationships with children, families, and co-workers.
- Observe and document children’s progress and development.
- Communicate effectively with families regarding their child’s experience and development.
- Comply with licensing regulations and center policies.
Qualifications:
- Valid ECE Certificate (issued by the BC Ministry of Children and Family Development).
- Current BC License to Practice as an ECE.
- Valid First Aid & CPR Level B certification.
- Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.
- Up-to-date immunizations as per Fraser Health requirements.
- Experience working with children aged 2.5 to 5 is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
- A warm, energetic, and positive attitude.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00-$21.00 per hour
