Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Labourer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of manual tasks that support construction, maintenance, and installation projects. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. The Skilled Labourer will contribute to the successful completion of projects by ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency in all assigned tasks.
Responsibilities
- Assist with loading and unloading materials and equipment at job sites
- Perform general labor tasks such as digging, lifting, carrying, and cleaning work areas
- Operate basic hand and power tools safely and efficiently
- Support skilled tradespeople with their tasks as needed
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
- Assist in site preparation, including setting up scaffolding or barricades
- Ensure all work complies with project specifications and safety standards
- Report any issues or hazards to supervisors promptly
Experience
- Previous experience in construction, maintenance, or related manual labor roles is an asset
- Ability to operate basic tools and equipment is a plus
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods
- Knowledge of safety procedures and practices in a construction or industrial environment is advantageous
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license are mandatory
- Current H2S Alive, Standard First Aid, CSO, and Ground Disturbance certifications are valuable assets
Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
