TR Petroleum Ltd. is a privately owned Saskatchewan family business that has served Prairie customers since 1999. Based in Saskatoon, TR Petroleum is a marketer and distributor of gasoline, diesel fuel, heating oil, lubricants and propane.
We supply independent retail stations, local fuel distributors, and commercial customers across a range of industries, including construction, agriculture, mineral exploration, rail transportation, power generation, forestry, and oil and gas drilling.
About the Opportunity
TR Petroleum is seeking an experienced, reliable, and independent Fuel/Propane driver to join our team in supplying fuel, propane, related storage solutions, and lubricants to our growing network of customers. This is a dynamic, multifaceted role suited to an individual who enjoys working independently, managing changing daily priorities, and delivering excellent customer service. The primary responsibility will be to safely load, transport, and deliver full and partial loads of petroleum products, and propane, as directed by dispatch. Deliveries may be completed using straight trucks and tractor-trailer units. This position is based in Saskatoon and includes local and longer-distance deliveries. The regular schedule is expected to be five days per week; however, some weekend work, extended hours, and overtime may be required. Overtime is paid at time and one-half after eight consecutive hours worked.
Position Expectations & Skills
- Extensive commercial driving experience with a safe driving record.
- Valid Class 1A driver’s licence with air-brake endorsement.
- Experience hauling petroleum products, propane, and/or anhydrous ammonia is an asset.
- Ability to meet TDG requirements for the transportation of dangerous goods.
- Commitment to safely loading, transporting, unloading, and documenting petroleum products, and propane.
- Ability to safely complete both full-load and partial metered deliveries.
- Familiarity with bulk delivery equipment, hoses, fittings, pumps, meters, and product-transfer procedures is an asset.
- Strong commitment to company safe-work policies, customer-site requirements, and applicable industry standards.
Ability to communicate effectively with dispatch, management, and customers.
- Customer-focused attitude with professional communication skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work effectively in an independent setting.
- Willingness to work overtime and occasional weekends as operationally required.
